︎︎︎Web and Book archive of the public visual languages in the Post-Soviet Bulgarian town Veliko Tarnovo
︎︎︎Visual Identity for the project
︎︎︎Material installation accompanying the website; translating the materiality of the photographed streets into the final work
︎︎︎The goal of “Urban Artefacts” project is to archive the constantly changing urban graphics and mysterious objects of the streets of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. From creative ways of advertising private business, to strategically placing big water containers to claim a parking spot.
︎︎︎The archive aims to create an online space for sharing and appreciating the countless colorful cultural artefacts, covering the streets of Veliko Tarnovo. The users have the chance not only to browse through the archive, but also to contribute to it with a picture and to share their favourite artefacts in a form of a postcard.
︎︎︎By conducting both field and academic research I developed the concept for the project. The majority of the collection of the images displayed on the archive I have gathered over the past 6 years. By conducting interviews with citizens of the city I developed the picture categories for the archive.
